Fares Dessouky

Egypt’s Fares Dessouky burst onto the world stage as a 19-year-old in 2014 when defeating former World No.1 Karim Darwish to reach the quarter-finals of the British Open. Twelve months later, he had risen into the top 20 of the PSA Rankings and won the 2014/15 PSA Young Player of the Year award. 

 

Since then, Dessouky has won iconic Gold-level events such as the 2020 Black Ball Open and the 2022 Canary Wharf Classic, claiming a total of five PSA Tour titles from 12 finals. 

 

Dessouky reached his career-high rank of World No.7 in April 2021.
