Biography
Mohamed ElShorbagy is regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the men’s game, with ‘The Beast’ currently competing in his 19th full season on the PSA Squash Tour.
The 34-year-old holds the record for most appearances in the men’s game, overtaking Gregory Gaultier earlier in 2025, and is closing in on a remarkable 800 matches on tour.
ElShorbagy is one of the most decorated squash players of all time, spending 50 months at the top of the world rankings between 2014-2021 and recording over 50 PSA Tour title wins.
Born in Alexandria, Egypt, but having lived in England since he was 15, ElShorbagy switched allegiances from Egypt to England in 2022.
The three-time British Open winner lifted his one World Championship title in 2017 when he defeated his younger brother, Marwan, in an epic five-game final in Manchester.
